It's been almost a month

It's been almost a month since my last updated, but I've just been so busy. My sister has come and gone. She left Saturday the 5th. I was sad to see her go but she had some stuff she had to do back home. I officially had my 1st day alone with Alexis on Monday. It went very well. We took a walk with Kelli & Maddie, Jess & her girls! I had a good time.

Alexis is getting so big. She smiling and cooing. It's amazing. I wouldn't change anything. She is getting such a personality. I'm still waiting for the giggles to start. She is awake more and I have my hands full more now, then when she 1st came home. I love waking up in the morning and going to look at Alexis in her bassinet and she just smiles up at me. It's the best feeling in the world.


Josh's mom and his niece are supposed to come down the weekend of the 19th. I'm excited. Josh's mom hasn't seen Alexis since she was born and it will be his nieces 1st time meeting her. My mom is coming down June 26th-July 7th. I can't wait. It's been since February 09 since I've seen her. She's finally gonna meet her 3rd granddaughter!

First bath!

Alexis got her first real bath the other day. She did wonderful! She didn't cry at all. I think she is gonna be a water baby. She doesn't seem to mind the water. She sat in her tub like a big girl and sucked away on her fingers. I feel like shes getting so big already. We got her weighed on Friday and she was at 6lbs 11oz. Talking about weight. I've lost 23 pounds since having her. I mean most of that was baby, placenta and fluid, but its pretty good since I gained 39lbs during my pregnancy. Yesterday we went shopping for some new shirts for me. It was my mother's day present, and it felt good to buy myself something. Josh made me breakfast in bed as well. It was a nice relaxing day.

I'm excited! My sister flies in tonight! I can't wait. It's been a while since I've seen her. She's excited to get to meet her niece! We'll we have some errands to run before she gets here!

Busy Couple Days

It's been a busy couple of day. Tuesday we had Alexis's 2 week check up. She weighs 6lbs 10 oz now. She's getting so big, it's crazy. It's going so fast already. From the doctors we went to PSD to add Alexis to Josh's PG2 & DEERS. (Military stuff) After running to PSD, we went to the commissary and went food shopping the fastest we've ever done. We were in and out in no time. We came home and unloaded the groceries when we got the call that our car was ready. We had been driving a loaner until the car we purchased was shipped to the dealership. We picked up the car and came back home.

After coming home, we gave Alexis a bath and got her ready for bed. I fed her and went to go change her diaper... and noticed her umbilical cord had fallen off! So now we can give her a real bath! Today Alexis and myself hung out with Ashley for a bit when Josh went and got the 45 day base pass. After Ashley went home, Josh, Alexis and I went to Wendy's to get some food. I didn't feel like cooking... But its been like that since I've had Alexis. I can't wait for Monday, that's when my sister flies in! I can't wait. It's been over a year since I've seen her. Well Alexis should be waking up soon for a feeding, after her feeding, I'm heading to bed!

Its been a super long time.

Its been awhile, since I've last updated. But I figured I'd finally update. Since my last update, we found out we were having a little girl way back in December. We spent Christmas with Josh's family. We move into a beautiful base housing.


But the biggest thing is... we finally had our beautiful baby girl. She came on April 22nd 2010 at 11:24 am. Labor wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. I started having contractions on the 21st about noon time, well I had a doctors appointment that day at 2:15 and they checked me and I was 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. By 10:30 PM I couldn't take the pain of the contractions which were still 7 minutes apart, but I called the doctors anyways and they told me to come in and get checked. So we made the trip to the hospital, thinking we were gonna get sent back home, but surprisingly they kept me there. I ended up getting my epidural at like 2 :30 am, and tried to get some good sleep. At 7:35 am they came in to check me and I was 6 cm dilated. They broke my water at 8:30 and i started pushing at 9:45 and had our beautiful baby girl 1.5 hours later. It was totally worth every pain and ache I had. We came home from the hospital Saturday the 24th and the fun begin. Josh and I are so happy to be parents, Josh is doing wonderful with her too. He is such a great daddy. Even tho i'm breast feeding he still gets up with me at night to keep me company. He even gets up when I'm sleeping and does house work. It's amazing. I still can't believe how wonderful being a mommy is. Its amazing to think that she was inside of me for 9 months.


Since she was born we've gotten a new car. Which i love by the way. I can actually drive it and its brand new :]. We got a 2010 Kia Forte Koup. My sister is gonna be coming to stay with us for like 2 months to see her new niece. I can't wait to see her. We also got the news that Josh wont be going to Virgina! We're both super excited about that! Alexis is doing amazing at home. She is such a happy and good baby. The only thing I got to learn is when to change her. Every time I change her, she poops like 2 seconds later. Its pretty funny. She doesn't cry much and I swear if I didn't wake her up to feed her at night, she would sleep right through. We go to the doctors tomorrow/today. I wonder how much weight she has gained since last week. She weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces when she was born, and when we left the hospital she went down to 5lbs 15oz, we had a doctors appointment last Monday and she had already gained back almost all of her birth weight, she got back up to 6lbs 4 oz.

Well I'm off to bed, tomorrow is gonna be a busy day for us!

Been awhile!

Well its been awhile. Nothing much has changed. I'm officially in my second trimester! I'm 17 weeks this past Saturday! We've heard the baby's heart beat twice. 175 the 1st time, and 159 this past month. It's exciting! We've picked up the baby's nursery furniture, now were just waiting to see what the sex of the baby will be! We should find out the sex Dec 17th! I can't wait! The perfect Christmas Present! I feel like I'm getting huge!
Other than feeling like I'm huge, I'm trying to deal with the back pain, and the random aches and pains. My back gets set off by me just putting the dishes in the dish washer. I don't know how much longer I'm gonna be able to handle the pain when doing the dishes. Hopefully it doesn't get worst. Thanksgiving is coming up! I'm excited I definitely have an appetite :]. I sometimes out eat Josh! My birthday is Saturday the 29th. I'll be the be 2-0! I've already made Josh help me set up the Christmas tree! I love Christmas time! Dec 3rd Josh and I will be married for 1 year! Its been a long and crazy 1st year of marriage but well worth it!

It's been awhile!

So it's been a long time. I've been extremely busy. We had our wedding ceremony and it was wonderful. I couldn't ask for anything else. It was beautiful and I was so happy to see my step-father and my best friend Elaina. I hadn't seen them since Feb. It's so hard to be away from my family sometimes, but I'm starting my own family and I couldn't be happier. Distance is something that comes along with being military. Well our friend Carly took amazing pictures. I can't say thank you enough to her. She and Nick were the only friends to make it from South Carolina. I guess it shows you who your real friends are. Mel and Nate of course couldn't make it because she is almost 9 months pregnant and I totally understand there reason. They would have been there if she wasn't so far along. But over all the ceremony and reception was amazing. We returned from our trip to North Carolina Tuesday, only because Wednesday we had our first ultrasound! It was amazing. We got to see the little heart beat and saw the baby moving. They changed my due date to May 1st. I'm 8 weeks pregnant, rather then 9 weeks. I can't wait to feel the baby move. Its gonna be an amazing feeling. I wanted to cry when I saw the heart beat but I held it in. Being pregnant may make me feel like poop for right now, but it will be worth it in the end. I couldn't be happier right now. I have my husband, my psycho cat, and my sweet dog, with our baby on the way. I was upset with the doctors, they only gave me one picture from the ultrasound. I zoomed in because when I scanned it, it turned out slanted. I'm off to bed. Josh goes back to work tomorrow. :[Here is our little peanut. :]

6 weeks!

So I'm six weeks almost 7 weeks pregnant. I'm so excited. These past couple days have been pretty boring, I'm always extremely tired, and my boobs kill. It's all worth it though for the baby. Josh and I started stocking up on diapers and wipes already. Never too early to start. I've been pretty stressed out about our upcoming wedding ceremony. Its only like 2 weeks away and I'm getting more nervous. I tried my dress on the other day, and its getting tight. I hope it still fits in 2 weeks. I feel like I'm already showing, I know I'm tiny so I may show earlier than most women, but I feel like I'm getting huge!I went for an ultra sound yesterday. It wasn't to look at the baby, it was to look at my ovaries and such. I had already had the appointment before finding out I was pregnant. 2 hours before I went I was supposed to drink 2 qts of water... well I didn't and I used the bathroom, and the ultra sound tech was a complete bitch to me. I mean I'm pregnant and I always have to pee anyways. So they got a somewhat good picture of my ovaries, nothing is wrong. Thank god! Then she showed me the best picture she could get of the baby. I couldn't really see much any ways because I'm not that far along, but I got to see the yolk sac, I thought that was really cool. I still don't think its hit me just yet that I'm pregnant. I think it will hit when my stomach starts to get bigger and I actually see the baby on an ultra sound. I'm so excited to be a mommy and Josh is so excited to be a daddy too. We're just praying for a healthy baby.
